The following U-6 Training Games are intended to provide information to AYSO Coaches to improve their ability to deliver fun, yet quality, training sessions and practices. These are just ideas and you can adjust anyway you like to make more interesting or useful for the players. Be as creative as you can.
Remember that for the Under 6 player, dribbling is the most important skill they need to learn this year. Almost all the games, especially for the first half of the season, should revolve around dribbling. Any “kicking” should focus on shooting at a target or a goal, not so much “passing” to another player, which will come next year in the players development.
