Opening Ceremony

This special event is the beginning of another exciting AYSO season. It is a time to rekindle some old friendships and to make new ones. Each year, our region accepts more and more players into the program and this is an opportunity to celebrate soccer and to show off our numbers to the community.

Look for this years "Nutrition Booth" for special giveways.

Date:

Sunday, September 7

Who should attend:

All players and family, coaches, referees, AYSO alumni, and friends are strongly encouraged to attend the ceremony.

Time:

5:30 pm (all players & coaches should be at field)
6 pm (ceremony begins)

Where:

Glendale City College (map)

What to bring:

 

Players: Wear uniforms
Coaches: Bring team banner with sponsor's name
Families and friends: Happy smiles and cheers but please stay in stands.

Due to the field-turf, please DO NOT bring any food, drinks, candy or gum on to the field.

Water is allowed, but no fruit or sports drinks.

Special Courtesy:

As this is a celebration for ALL the players, please stay in the stands until ALL the players have paraded.

Event Notes:

- Players should look for their division and team or coach, and stay with them at all times.
- Parents can help their child find their team, but then should return to the stands until the entire event is finished.
- Parents, please remain and applaud all the young atheltes.
- Teams will march by division.
- Procession will go once around the track.

For your team name and sponsor to be highlighted at the Opening Ceremonies, please make sure to fill out the information on your team page in the Team Zone.
