Refund Policy

All refunds must be requested on or before the posted deadline by submitting a Cancellation Request form.

Please also note the $20.00 AYSO National Membership Fee that is paid as part of the registration is non-refundable / non-transferable and you will also be charged an administrative fee ($5) if a refund is processed.

There are no refunds will be for any reason if registration is canceled after the posted refund deadline. If registering after the posted deadline, there will be no refunds as well.

No exceptions will be allowed for any reason.

Cancellation and Refund FAQs

AYSO Region 88 Glendale is a non-profit organization with a very small operating budget. We believe the only way to be consistent and fair to each family is to apply the same policy for refund requests submitted after the posted deadline.

Our policies are written and approved by our Board of Directors and the Commissioner and Registrar are obligated to the uphold them. Region 88 Glendale's Board of Directors meet on the first Tuesday of each month (please see our Event Calendar) and anyone is welcome to provide feedback.

Region 88 Glendale begins to incur costs months prior to the start of the season (eg. uniforms, field costs) and there is no guarantee that we will fill a spot for a canceled player. Our refund policy is displayed during the registration process and on several places on our website (eg. Fall page, Cancellation page, FAQ page) to ensure all families are aware of our cancellation policy.

But the season hasn't started yet.
We turn away dozens of players each season because of the limited number of teams we are able to field (due to a limited number of volunteer head coaches). Many sign up on the waiting list and are willing to play. Your child may not have received their uniform or attended a practice, but they were given a spot on the team that could have been given to another player.

But my child can not attend practice that time/day.
The scheduled times for practice are published on our website. A benefit of volunteering, the head coach for each team chooses the day, location and the time (in a few divisions) after receiving the team roster in July.

But our practice field is too far away.
We understand practice is important and we all have busy lives. We try our best not to inconvenience our families but we are a very large region and you may be asked to practice on a field that is not nearby your residence. Our fields are listed under the Fields tab above and your team may practice on any of them during the season.
